Exterior Painting FAQs

Common questions and answers for residential exterior painting jobs.

What Kind of Exteriors Do You Paint?

We can paint almost any exterior surface including T1-11, wood, fiber cement, stucco, and brick.

What Paint Is Used for Exteriors?

We only use high-quality "SuperPaint" or "Emerald" Acrylic Latex Paint from Sherwin Williams that offers premium protection against the elements and long color retention.

When Will I Receive the Itemized Estimate?

After our in-person evaluation of the project, you will receive your itemized estimate typically within 1-2 business days by email. All estimates include materials, paint, and labor before tax.

What Preparation Is Necessary Before Arrival?

We will advise you of any particular prep needed to start your specific project. However, in general, we ask that the working area be cleared of hoses, furniture, etc., so that we can easily bring in our equipment.

How Long Will Does It Take to Paint an Exterior?

The duration of the project is largely dependent on the size and complexity of the job. Smaller simple jobs may take 1-2 days while larger projects may take up to 5 days.

Exterior Painting Process

  • Get Free Estimate

We begin our free estimate with an in-person evaluation of the outside of your home, in which we'll get the specs and discuss any special requests.

  • Pick Color & Product

At this point, you'll decide on colors and products. We provide a color wheel to help you choose and bring your vision to life. Once products are selected we'll send an itemized estimate—that's good for one year!

  • Prep, Paint, & Clean

To begin the job, we prepare the space by protecting your home's windows and doors. We caulk cracks where needed, scrape existing paint that is peeling then prime the area before applying the paint of your choice. Afterward, we clean up like we were never there.
