Interior Painting FAQs

Common questions and answers for residential interior painting jobs.

What Type of Paint Is Used for Interiors?

We use only high-quality paints for your interior projects, typically Sherwin Williams ProMar 200. Most often we will recommend a flat/matte paint for your ceilings, and an eggshell finish for your walls.

When Will I Receive the Itemized Estimate?

We will visit your home in person to discuss the details of your jobs including how many rooms and determining the surfaces to be painted including walls, ceilings, and trim.
You can then expect your itemized estimate to arrive via email in 1-2 business days.

What Preparation Is Necessary Before Arrival?

Preparation can vary for each individual project, but we typically ask that you remove small objects and wall-hangings from the working area.

Do I Have to Leave My Home During Painting?

Because some projects take multiple days to complete, we work through your home in sections so you do not have to vacate the premises during the process. We will mask off the area of the home we are working in so you are able to remain in your home throughout the duration.

The exception to this would be if we are spraying trim, then we will ask that you please leave the home during the project.

How Long Will Does It Take to Paint an Interior?

The time to complete your painting project can greatly vary depending on the size and complexity of the job.

Homes under 1500 square feet in which we are painting only the walls may take only a few days to complete. Removing wallpaper, painting ceilings, and painting trim will add additional time to the project. Some projects may take up to 10 days to complete.

Interior Painting Process

  • Get Free Estimate

We begin our free estimate by evaluating the inside of your home getting the specs as well as briefing you about recommended paint types. All these factors go into calculating your estimate.

  • Pick Color & Product

At this point, you'll decide on colors and products. We provide a color wheel along with samples of your favorites to ensure your vision is accurately brought to life. Once products are selected we'll send an itemized estimate–that's good for one year!

  • Prep, Paint, & Clean

To begin the job we prepare the space by protecting your home's floors, furniture, and other items. We patch, texture, and prime areas that need it before applying the paint of your choice. Afterward, we clean up like we were never there.
